nice to get some humour in at the end of the week”

Unfortunately looks like some people are lacking in a sense of humour! Though looking at the pageviews of this page (550 at present) it's certainly been a popular/controversial cartoon!

Certainly a fascinating subject though, every aspect of the campaign including humour is being scrutinised! I saw on the news this morning they reckon 97% of eligible voters will be turning out, which if true is incredible!

Wonder if post vote, regardless of result, life will return to normal, or if the anti English undercurrent has broken the surface for good

Regardless of the vote things will (at least maybe over some time) will return to normal. The atmosphere up here is less anti english more pro scottish to be honest. Dont get me wrong you will always get people who have a huge chip on their shoulder but hey you get haters everywhere.  Also a lot of scots are more anti english leaders just cause we have leaders who we didn't vote for (only one constituency (however you spell that) voted tory, all others in scotland voted labour snp (and some lib dem). I am just shocked and surprised how many people took that cartoon seriously!

Ah well Jan least you created a talking point  just wish some people would chill out and see the humour.

Yep! Louise, Cliched the Englishman with his bowler hat, as with the Scotsman! All done in total good spirit!...what I know about politics would't fill a frogs ear

A superb cartoon that really caught peoples imagination!

It's also now had the most social shares of any post since the forum went live on MLS this April

Interestingly (from an anorak statistical point of view) it has had nearly equal number of shares across Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. Normally you see a lot of Facebook and Twitter shares but few G+.

Also surprised not to see more Pin-interest shares as it's an image.

But great result and we now have a benchmark to beat! Just need another emotive newsworthy event to capitalise on...

Pageviews we call them now old boy

Up a thousand views since August  Certainly a popular post and Google seems to like it. Bit annoyed over the po.st social media bar though which seems to have broken

I know it was doing very well on Facebook and Twitter. Shall have to have a moan!
