...my business is just little 'ol me!

Took a couple of weeks of in Sept' and me and wifey went to Italy

I always worry if I take any time off!...Know it sounds dumb but realised, if you're honest with your clients and tell them when you're away and when you're back the world doesn't end if you're not there!...(Taken me about 30years to realise that though)

Hey! they take their hols' whenever!...deadlines or no deadlines!

Just book it!

Is it the modern world I wonder, with its endless access to communication even in the middle of a muddy field or on a beach, or is it our attitudes that have changed that we feel we have to work more, or be more accessible?

We can all switch our phones off and survive without Facebook, email or the daily Mail for a couple of weeks. Trouble is we don't seem to want to, or is it just habit and we're all addicted

I think a lot of it is about attitude.  These days leaving the house and realising you've left your mobile phone behind is enough to send most of us in to a real panic.  It's not really the end of the world, but somehow we have come to feel this way.

This is so true! I felt sick when I left my phone behind the other day, although I was lone working so it felt even more dramatic. Mind you people used to go out by themselves to people's houses before we had mobiles and survived to tell the tale! The problem is we rely on them so much now that without a phone you feel totally isolated and lost! How many numbers do you know off by heart?
