Well at least you know what you are going to get with him... And to be fair, if women know what he is like, know what his reputation is then they are best avoiding applying for jobs in the White house.... Think that may come across as being sexist, but you know what I meanSeems the whole world has flipped in 2016.... only time will see whether t is for the better.. hopefully it couldn't have got any worse...

Looking good for Trump.....

I don't know, I get the feeling Trump might just do it, there is a lot of hatred for Clinton out there.... The other thing is, it is the first time ever I have been sent an email from a broker warning me that should Trump get in the markets are going to be very volatile and to be careful with any investment... That was enough for me to cash out and sit on the fence for a while...

So, was Clive begging the last remaining trainee not to leave as well, promising that at some point during the day it would get exciting? Or was he saying goodbye, just before she legged it too?

Farcical Fifa? Come on it's a Poppy! 2nd November 2016 7:45 PM

For obvious reasons I'm pro-poppy, always have been and always will be..... But (always a but with me) I kind of get what FIFA are trying to do, I think with sport, sport is one of those things where countries and individuals come together, everyone participating forgets their differences and as in the case of football has 90 minutes of sportsman like play without fear and without political intervention. So either 2 people or 2 teams meet shake hands and play. Even as a kid I had drummed into me that it doesn't matter whether you win or lose its the taking part that counts.... Not to dis-similar to the Christmas truce of 1914, put down the weapon, play a game of football, exchange gifts, share a cigarette shake hands and go home.

The problem really lies with the bad timing of the competition, they always knew it was going to happen and have now left it to the last minute to discuss it... What annoys me about the poppy more than anything else, is people wearing and not knowing why they are wearing it or using it as a fashion accessory... Anyone in front of a television camera it seems is forced to wear one and it just seems to me it's becoming a farce.

Living Wage increased by 20p 1st November 2016 8:52 AM

I'm guessing most people on the minimum / living wage will be on some sort of benefit aswell... which is going to be falling. And with the cost of living rising... I'm guessing those people on either will at most be able to treat themselves to another lick of the marmite pot......

Heathrow could get a 3rd runway 30th October 2016 11:51 PM
you are right Barney
Usually am..... lol....
Seriously though, the trouble with this country whether good or bad depends on how you look at it I guess. But as with anything like this the law allows legal challenges against the recent decision and when this gets taken back to court, another legal challenge will no doubt be made. And on it goes, leaving all those who live locally, whose villages will be destroyed living in limbo with in effect valueless properties as they will never be able to sell other than under a compulsory purchase scheme. I still say this should have gone up north somewhere... I don't know where, but anywhere out of London..... We've had our share of investment over the last 40 odd years and we don't need anymore......

Not For Girls... 28th October 2016 11:35 PM

Being a public forum just thought I'd give Movember a shout.....  Things have come along way since they started out back in 2003.... But mens healthcare and well being although now talked about, still doesn't get promoted as equally as our female counterparts....

Not looking good for the Clinton's now, after today's revelations it will probably be the last nail in her electoral coffin... Bit of a shame, but better to have it all out in the open prior to the election than after.....The last thing the rest of the world needs is a US president taking their eye of the ball whilst dealing with in house problems, while Putin plays war games and it wouldn't surprise me if he's not waiting for the election results either.....
