Sigh. Dreamraven fell off the wagon.

If it helps I tried once before and fell off the wagon two or three times.
Don't know what was different this time but I have reached week 6, saved over

You can't take away my gum, I wouldn't make it through the day

My wine intake has increased, not sure if that's becuase I am not smoking or I am just worried that I will get the new job. Interviews on wednesday 11 April, I have done my research, I know the stats and refreshed my knowledge of current legislation. I will however be buggered if they ask me one simple question...

"do you like working with adolecent kids?"

Positives, less milage (approx 100 miles per week), don't have to pay for parking, I will get essential car users allowance, higher rate petrol allowance, less time in prison, less risky cases, less chance of death..!

Negatives: cllient base, Male aged 10 to 18....oh my good god it's not rocket science I can do this......I stopped smoking so how hard can this be?

Who's worried about 10 year old's anyway?

I also stopped about 45 minutes ago. Thank you for showing me that it can be done. It helps me to tell myself that I am going to do this.

Strength in numbers, I am now 4 weeks and 1 day as a non smoker. No regrets and it has (in the most part) been quite easy. The only time I have doubt is when I find an excuse to become stressed, this often involves the wife and I have even asked the question "do you want me to start smoking again?" before listening to just how stupid that sounds!

I will look out for the updates....well done!

I'm kinda in-between giving up and being a smoker at the moment.

I do like that quote and I am not going to preach! I hate that in non smokers. All I can say is 1 month down, almost

I do like to play Dragon Age on my PC from time to time. Don't always have the urge to get engrossed in role play etc, but it is a good distraction now and then.

Now the dilema, the oldest parasite, oops child! Likes to play on the Sony Play Station 3, Battlefield 3. I have to confess it is a good game and a good console (he lives nearby)

The second blood sucker, oops child, prefers his XBox and he also plays battlefied 3 (he now lives in Bradford).

Both of my investors like to shoot dad on a regular basis, one can presume it is for their inheritance (increasing now I have stopped smoking).

The Idiot is me, I had to buy a PC, Xbox, Playstation 3 and a bloody game I did not want twice! in order to avoid the wrath of the mother and so that I can entertain a 24 year old and a 26 year old..

To make matters worse my wife wants to know why her boys have not produced any grandchildren yet It's becuase they are too busy playing fecking games...
Idiot indeed.

Top man Ray

Soon you'll be talking in weeks not days, then months...

As you have now officially quit smoking on a public forum, you do know there's now no going back

How true young man, "Three WEEKS" and three days. Apart from the wife not talking to me at all now, it's been a breeze. Savings in to the "hundreds" now (approx

well, day 15 as a non smoker I guess that many readers of this thread assumed I had fallen of the wagon thumbsdown due to my abscence! Well, I am on leave this week and the better half decided to make me enjoy it! "Bit of fresh air will take your mind of cigs she said", during our long DRIVE to the nice walking place she asked if I missed smoking now the car was clean (

Day 7 as a non smoker. First day back after a short break, arrived at 07:50, to face 158 emails (most were pointless). Checked my telephone messages (11 in total and one call from a guy who could not remember his own name or why he had called me! Thankfully I did recognise his voice.) 09:30 straight in to an IDAP group (Integrated Domestic Abuse Programme) 2.5 hours of arguments, tears and tantrum...s. 13:30 got a call to advise that a release from prison had arrived and he was being quite rude to reception staff! No lunch straight back to the office, had a "chat". Interviwed another two, didn't have time to write anything up so need to go back in early tomoz. Oh...didn't have time to think about smoking so guess today was a sucess and another
