Birmingham Airport Investment 30th September 2016 11:37 AM

This is good news.

Been spouting on for ages that the £1 per 15 mins could get expensive if you arrive and then find the airplane is delayed

I need a hearing check..... 30th September 2016 11:21 AM

Quite often refer to the better half as "babe" or "sweetheart" but never mean it in a bad way or sexist, i actually mean it in a romantic nice way

I was in a restaurant the other night and the waitress called me "my darling", now that i took offensively - over the top and down right rude !

Congratulations to Rebecca 30th September 2016 11:10 AM
Ooooh by the way, Max definitely has more hair than Steve or Clive ... ”

Now thats just not nice  - oh well they say the truth hurts

The highlight for the men has to be sandals with no socks even in the winter.

Ah mine is Steve in his shorts wearing boots, but I didn't tell you

I think there should be a "dress code" but i cannot see how you can enforce skirt length or makeup on the females, well males too if that takes your fancy !

We do have an informal smart casual approach, its usually a logo'd shirt with black chinos/jeans to a shirt & tie when we have visitors. Common sense stuff really.

I personally think if you turn up scruffy, your work will reflect that

How to 27th September 2016 11:38 AM

Hiya, and firstly welcome

Thats a tough one, but if you feel he genuinely cannot get a better price or the product then you politely tell him just that, IMHO.

Next year when he calls back, state your price, don't budge - the price is as quoted. Calmly explain that that is the advertised price and you cannot do anymore. What can he do - where is he going to get your product? Would he do the same in supermarket and ask for a reduction in there?

Not sure if you can actually refuse an order but you can accept it on your terms not his. Possibly he will leave a negative review which you can respond to and if that happens give us a call and we can help you respond with our 11 years history of dealing with reviews, we have seen most things !

The Dark Side of Football 27th September 2016 11:32 AM

And this is why i have absolutely no interest in the "game" anymore.

Players cheat by falling over to try and get a penalty, managers are corrupt behind the scenes, FIFA officials buying Countries off to get votes ...... enough said.

What happend to the gentleman's game?  Sky Sports and its millions has a lot to answer

Still seems to be a descent in the party - noticed Ed Balls on the News this morning claiming he was "concerned" with Corbyn as  party leader

Market Research Pests 26th September 2016 1:24 PM

I had a similar problem with More Than

I had a policy with More Than no marketing info,  used a comparison site & allegedly did not tick no 3rd party contact. More Than bought the data from comparison site and imported the data which unticked their own flag allowing them to make contact .....

Hmm well it did until i had a 3 month battle with them which ended with them changing their policy around purchasing data !

Reserved Seats on Trains 26th September 2016 12:12 PM

Chivalry and manners seems to be be a dying trait these days.

I was brought up to open doors for ladies (well anyone really) and give up seats for the elderly and/or infirm, something i am insisting my boys follow suit with.

That being said even when i try and hold doors open you get cut a dirty look rather than the thanks i would have appreciated

A recent survey was conducted by a law firm after a rise in the number of complaints from clients about their bosses views on office wear.  86% of those surveyed had experienced requests to wear high heels, more makeup and shorter skirts as their bosses believed it was better for business ......  ”

Steve - the answer is most definitely NO !

I am all for looking good both in and out of work, my fiancees positive influence i guess, as i wasn't too fussed before

There is no place for sexism in or out of work though.
