SEO on less competitive market 5th March 2014 5:57 PM
Thank you for your reply. As always, it's very helpful.

I didn't check or follow any updates from Google. I suppose, for keywords (Chinese Acupuncture Edinburgh) only 2 or 3 such service are doing on paid SEO regularly. My goal is to be the third.

Thus, I follow and copy what the top is doing, plus my own source of back links.

The dropping is probably because I didn't build back links while others were keep doing.
SEO on less competitive market 5th March 2014 5:07 PM
It’s a SEO case study for Jianfeng Acupuncture in Edinburgh. We all know some market are less competitive for SEO and possible to move a website to the first page or top of Google quickly.

SEO takes time and money. The question remains if it is worth for such market?

Chinese Dr. Jian Feng is a qualified, professional acupuncturist providing treatment in the UK for over 15 years. She approached me in November 2013 to promote her new website. We identified keywords and decided to begin with 2 of them. One is Acupuncture in Edinburgh.

I started to build links, but most importantly focused on the links which may bring in new customers.

Since then, Jianfeng Acupuncture in Edinburgh‘s website has been on the first page of Google in 3 weeks, but dropped to 2nd page after I deliberately stopped building links for a month.

The SEO process is tracked with monthly report. Most importantly I kept communication with Dr. Feng.

The result is quick encouraging though. There were new inquiries, and new patients even when website’s ranking was dropping to the second page of Google because of the quality of links I have built.

To be concluded, you may spend less money with good return on the less competitive market.
About Google and your views 22nd January 2013 10:02 AM
i use google for business business not for personals, and depend on what one can bring traffic to me. Google + is good for SEO, indexed by Google search, unlink facebook or twitter, but it didn't bring me any traffics yet. (I slowly understood how to use it now, it's not very pleasure to begin with in my experience). I like google place (called Google+ Local now), which is a must have for business, and google analytics and webmaster tools, because all are free and do the job. I was thinking google reach is using google analytics to generate data for google ranking, I read they take user experience into account for Google ranking. On the other hand, google is so powerful now, I read some years ago, a few of web analitics tools, once Google analytics was out, only 1 or 2 still are in operation. I wouldn't want to see only tesco selling foods in high street.

I have some years experience and degree in computers, but it's just so frustrated to following some google help documents, errors and no one seems caring to fix it in google. For example, i followed documents to put a javascript (Jquery) on Google site, i had to add a line of code to make it work. even don't mention Google map api, i spent about 1 hour to find out Version 3 unlike version 2 didn't need API keys anymore.

In short, google's good and like to be difference but at least they should keep their documents up-to-date.
Different Ways To Monetize Your Website 21st January 2013 11:04 PM
To build something that can attract visitors and show ad accordingly, ad sense is probably the only tool can do it automatically and correctly. i had a website for 1 years (discontinue now), showing people how to make money on betting, but never had traffic. So, I am still learning.

Google is great for searching and related products, however when it come down to google site, I felt very frustrated.
1. Instead of putting "save" button in the end of page, it is at the top of page, I got lost at the first few times using it.
2. A couple of times, its help documents is out of date, for example it may state click 1-2-3, actually, it should be 1-2
3. I also felt it's difficult to use its online support forums.

Feel free to add your views.

Will SEO end In Future?? 18th January 2013 11:27 PM
Google seems everything on the Internet now, but look back in 50 years time, how fast the change were, look forward in 10 or 20 years, SEO will be there but should face competition from other forms, like Internet vs TV before.
