imaging if the gps goes wrong...... youll wake up half way across the country, and it wont even be because of the booze.

Depends if the car is running on environmentally friendly alcohol.
Henry Ford was not an educated man, but he had a good imagination. You need imagination to dream up good ideas, but then you also need a bit of drive to get off your butt and find people with the knowledge that you don't have to put those ideas into practice.

You should never try to be an expert in everything. There are plenty of people out there who specialize. You can educate yourself along the way to a point that you know what questions to ask to get the answers you require from the specialists.

So imagining picking up a $100, may be not too far off the truth figuratively speaking, but in this day I would be aiming a little higher.
10 years since Concorde retired! 31st October 2013 6:11 AM
Went to Duxford the other week and walked past and under one of the prototypes on display.
Even today the Concord looks futuristic. What a shame they simply become uneconomical to keep and maintain.
Penguin 2.1 goes live 8th October 2013 9:00 AM
I have made the mistake of employing 3rd party SEO, only to find that they use 'Black hat' techniques, ie using link farms, spamming forums...

Its a long road to recovery from what I can see, so more articles, more content etc. But I'm sure there are good experts out there, just can't trust any yet.

Great, more changes, my web site took a hit on the last one, 1st page back down to 14th, I'm not an SEO expert so I really don't fully understand why, especially when other much less relevant pages appear ahead of mine.
House Prices 4th October 2013 1:10 PM
The land in Dagenham is far to valuable to be restricted in value for too long. Give it time, with the right encouragement for investment and it will spring up in value, prison or otherwise simply due to its proximity to the city of London.

From what I have seen, new prison designs are actually not too bad from the outside. Never been in one to know what the residence have to live with.
Apple or PC 4th October 2013 9:57 AM
I use Mac, I need it for some of the software I use and for iOS software development. However, I think my next work station for Architectural work will be a windows box built by myself. Not because its any better, but because its cheaper for what you get and I can just pop down the road if I need new parts. Not that many years ago, Apple tech was about a similar cost to a similar spec window machine, maybe a slight premium, but now the cost divide is too much to not be noticed.

I am somewhat disappointed with Apple as far as their workstations goes, their new high end PC is still vaporware and who knows how expensive it will be. I know of one high end graphics studio currently ditching their last bit of Mac tech for windows, although they are still sticking to IOS devices.

The Mac, when this machine is getting due for replacement, then I may down grade to a Mac Mini, which by the way makes an awesome small business server and at a great price. That way I can still do my iOS development, run my iTunes library flawlessly and have a reliable cost effective server with loads of storage as well.
House Prices 2nd October 2013 10:01 AM
Its a real concern. The way I see it, people have gotten too comfortable with the low interest rates, (I'm probably just as guilty)
As soon as interest rates go up, and they will, a lot of people will be in trouble and I would imagine another perhaps deeper recession.

As far as house prices goes, its normal for house prices to go upward. Let hope my area rockets, and I will sell up and move to warmer climates!!

Good for you gpurdey, What does striking really achieve other than even more contempt for those who stop work on the slightest whim then wonder why companies go broke, lay off staff or relocate off shore.
