There is nothing bad with working from home, if you feel comfortable doing so, however if you can afford a small office - definitely have one. There is a huge difference to know it is the place to work and your home is the place to enjoy time with your family. In addition, many people do find it more professional if you have even a small office. You can always invite a potential client to discuss things over a nice cup of tea at the office. There is nothing bad to invite them at home, too, but:
1. Would you feel comfortable letting people you don`t know at your home ?
2. Would you feel comfortable if your baby is crying the next room?
3. What would you miss a perfect job opportunity, because you don`t seem professional enough in the eyes of your client?
Lol, I always get very excited when I see there is a reply in some of my threads SESA (sorry for the abbreviation), you can use banners if you are online based business. Simply put them on strategic places.

Nice to see you guys have some improvement, as I was worried seeing how many big companies grow, while the small ones failed.
Jamie, there are a lot success stories out there. I like reading them and for a moment i forget my suspicions and start thinking on how I can apply a similar idea for our business. I believe this is a very important point when it comes to marketing - seeing and idea and trying to make it grow, to improve it and see it work.
I still believe that both methods should exist and grow together as every channel for communication is important!
Hi Steve, good luck in this new challenge. I will now review this in more detail
Web based POS system 16th May 2013 2:22 PM
Can you give an example of a web based POS?
I`d go for all possible options - both online and off line, as as discussed in another thread both forms of marketing are important for each kind of business.
I am not familiar with the catering business, however in my opinion when offering this kind of services, it is always best to gain positions locally and then start expanding!
