ITs shocking to hear that individuals wants services but dont want to pay for services, I will suggest prior to the services rendered that full amount should be paid upfront.

The only trouble with asking for the full amount up front is that it puts off every client who has ever paid up front only for cowboys to do shoddy work, or no work at all.

You might lose some business asking for a very modest payment (eg 10%) upfront - eg on accepting the contract - but this approach helps a lot to keep out those who've either no intention of paying or who have serious cashflow problems.
I really hate chasing money. It's worth potentially losing some business not to have to do it.

Nah....
Work out the maths first.. the cost of losing some sales v's outsourcing the collections.
Chasing money is not fun, building relationships by pro-actively talking to customers about their orders and their happiness and oh, btw the cash IS fun because you can learn more about them and maybe sell more to them as well.
