In it's ongoing mission of world domination, we will soon have Google TV. It looks like it will combine things like utube, online TV, and things that you have on your hard disk recorder.
Its an interesting concept, they reckon there are 1 billion internet users world wide, but 4 billion TV viewers, so its a market they are keen to crack. No doubt there will some interesting opportunities for web apps, advertising etc, and maybe it will open up brandbuilding opportunities for smaller companies?

now you can customize your TV as well as displaying web pages along with films and television, music and photos. so now we have Sky vs FreeView vs FreeSat vs Apple TV vs Google TV. interesting times ahead....... Tom amphis
Its a great idea, I watch sky on my Laptop when im out on site for long periods of time. Helps the time pass when im waiting for data to finish backing up or the like. I think now with more and more people getting on on the digital revolution that this concept is here to stay and will see a new generation of advertizers jumping on the bandawagon. mmmmm i think i new business idea is forming in my head.
