Does SyncToy error check then, so it wont copy over a corrupted file?

Well I've had a quick Google (as frankly this whole thread fills me with dread do I really have to do more sense checking of my backups. Of course, I've got plenty of time to do that!! ) and can't find anything that says it does...

..so like Steve said, "If there's a fool proof automated answer out there, I'm all ears!"

I think I'll have to look into the "clouds" more - surely that is the way forward.

Hmmm wonder how long a ssd drive lasts then... *goes off to copy things over to other hdds*

I guess an SSD would be more reliable than a regular hard drive, still seems to be the corruption caused at the copying/synching stage that I can't get my head round.

Must be photographer's or graphic designers with large image collections out there that back up their stuff automatically. What do you all use, and have you ever had a problem of data corruption on your archive/backed up images?

Well there must be a storage device with less loss of data then others. Or so I assume.. Yea I am the same not getting my head around that one hehe.

Maybe we all need to club together and design a solution! We'll make a fortune
