The best way to increase your sites PR is to first make sure you have quality and unique content that you update regularly on your site. Second when doing you link building make sure you submit to sites that have a high PR. If you submit you link to a site that only has a PR of 1 then this will not help your sites PR as much as if you submitted to a site with a PR of 4 or higher.

Your working procedure is right but also you need to do Onpage optimization weekly basis.

Weekly? Do you mean on new content or the actual site. Would that not confuse search engines?

Analysis your H tag and setting meta details. Sharing on social site.

Social networks seem all the rage, and do well when used to drive traffic. But that is off page optimization and not much on page. Also, playing around with your meta tags etc. too much, would hurt your rankings.

I think that the best thing to do if you do want to analyze your on page optimization, keep the keyword/phrases that are doing well and switch the ones that aren't doing well with new ones. This way you can keep testing until you have keywords that all work well and help you rank your page higher.

Would that not be better?

Justify or clear what are you saying and doing. I'm not clear what is PR list?

The original poster was asking about PageRank. I think some of the English hasn't translated very well.

Plus this is an old thread that has been bumped recently.

I agree Steve.
I have seen so many 'tricks' some and go. And when a 'trick' ceases to work, it takes down the rankings of the sites that exploited it. Whereas, stick to common sense tactics (that humans appreciate and respond to) and the ranking benefits are pretty much there for ever.

I agree, mostly.

I would go as far as to say they are not even 'tactics'. Its just standard common sense.

Google makes no bones about what it looks for as ranking factors. Make a site thats useful to your target audience, a site that tells you what its about, has some good content to help your users out and a site that is accessible.

Get the basics correct and spend a fair amount of time keeping it updated with useful content and your on the way. Wouldn't hurt to reach out to others in your niche either with some unique thought provoking content.

Yup agreed.

This thread was recently bumped, but I stand by what I said this time last year, which was pre Penguin and Panda was causing a flap.

...honest answer is don't worry about Page Rank. Concentrate on decent page construction, on page SEO, clean ethical non blackhat marketing techniques, and you will gain Pagerank accordingly...

...But does any PR change actually make any difference, traffic, conversions or revenue wise? Nope.

You've got a lot of good suggestions. Like someone stated before, just keep building backlinks and the PR will come. Here are few more suggestions:
  • Keep you blog updated
  • Do natural linkbuilding - don't just get do-follow links, a regular person would have all kinds of links. Get a variety of links, not just one kind. High pr links are the holy grail, and you want lots of them, but you also want to mix in there low pr links too. In other words, you want to look like a regular person with a website rather than a marketer who's trying to "game" the system.
  • Create content other people want to link to (Top 5 Ways to...; The Top Ten...., etc..) also known as linkbaiting

Hope this helps you!

Nice discussion is going on regarding improving PR:
Page rank shows the authority of page and each page has its own page rank and it depends on the popularity and authority of that page. From the point of view of SEO you just need to create back link form High PR domains and thus you can improve the page rank. One more thing is that back link should be relevant.
