I've used windows since 98
i've used fedora core, centos, Kubuntu, ubuntu, freenas, smoothwall, ipcpo and turnkey linux.
All of which do the job for wha they are supposed to do.
centos, fedora core, kubuntu, ubuntu and windows 98,xp,vista, 7 are desktop operating systems and the linux ones can be used as servers as well.
the only problem i have is software. i can't get the software support and software compatibility for linux that i can get for windows i've used open office and added the plugin to open .docx but my pda software wouldn't work and there was no obvious compatible software i could find.
games and things are harder to find (i don't play many games) the software is the only reason i haven't switched to centos permanently a long time ago.
