I was on another forum earlier and I thought to myself I wonder if anyone still follows and chasing the older SEO techniques?

Everyone changes to keep up with the times but does anyone still do some old school SEO just in case or do people kill it completely?

Thanks,

So do people still do the older stuff, I know directories is a new field but do you advertise on myspace

I just lump it together as social networking, it was MySpace, now it's FaceBook. tomorrow it maybe something else, but the principles the same.

Must admit though, have never advertised on My Space, and tried briefly on FaceBook, but the adoption of things like the "like" buttons seems to have been far more effective.

I used to target every single site I could that had some social aspect, but when I did this and Google introduced the low PR rule it had an impact so I stopped doing it and I focused on main pages like Facebook, Twitter etc
