“Interesting question. HP seem to be all over the shop, they've just got rid of the CEO, Leo Apotheker after less than a year in the hotseat!
New CEO Meg Whitman has stated HP will announce their plans at the end of October.

The pc is dead, claims ibm executive- The Inquirer
Dell says the pc isn't dead- The Inquirer
You decide!
Must admit HP seems to moving the same way as IBM so strategically for them it seems to be the right choice. Though I think HP are just playing catch up!

Bit of a slap in the face for the Lenovo execs though isn't it?
If I was them, I'd put the price up on all Thinkpad Laptops they sell back to IBM
Or maybe the IBM workforce are all going to start using iPads?
Interesting though, personally, haven't had a PC in the house now for over 2 years, although still have a home server, just for old times sake
and we've just got 1 trusty old Compaq PC covered in dust sat in the corner of the office.
Everything else now is laptops and tablets, so maybe IBM and HP are right?
