OK fasten your seatbelts, that big Panda is on the move again

Googles made a list of the changes that it rolled out (and still is) in February.

Here's 3 that caught my attention, sitelinks, local search and link evaluation

Less duplication in expanded sitelinks. [launch codename

I have all the bamboo I need, so you can keep your goat this time

Seriously though, a lot of people are going to be scurrying around again, I just can't help but wonder who the next innocent is. Bet you a lot of the underworld marketers are going to be hit harder though.

Thanks,
Dreamraven

Yup, it's always a nervous time when there are big changes to the algorithm, but other than a drop in PageRank across all of our sites, touch wood, so far this year not really seen any other impact..

interesting list of updates - some of which needs more attention how we can comply to it, some are really nice adjustments.

I feel that things are becoming more and more local in terms of serps... Good and scary at the same time.. hehe

Ah yes this hit my main KW's hard - didnt notice that some of FAQ's were being duped 3 times due to query strings!

Thankfully didnt have a measurable difference on conversions due to some subtle CRO changes.

Though its annoying! - got it all fixed up; lets hope it bounces back.

On a side note does anyone know of Social Plugin that is https compliant?

This is what Google always does, only names no elaboration! Anyways, I think the second point is somehow relieving to the big Question: 'how to rank in google places', as webmasters can now get the benefits from their normal organic results.

Yeah we got caught out with dup content relating to multiple categories, with the original Panda roll out last year. Impact wasn't too bad, and once fixed, we bounced back within 2 months.

Dunno about the social plug in, maybe raise it as a new thread, see if someone picks it up.
