The Panda Bear is on the move again, with a major update that started in the States last Friday and is rolling out across the world. Source: searchengineland.com

We will have to wait and see what exactly changes have been made, but a tweet from Google states "Less than 1% of queries noticeably affected in the U.S. & 1% worldwide"

Mean while, Google has announced the 39 tweaks it made to the search results in May

Forums are going to be buzzing with this now, along with the general do more SEO to combat this Took a read through the changes made though, its interesting to see that penguin was on the list as well.

Can I borrow your goat? I seem to have misplaced mine

I've seen no difference to my website, but I've gone to top on google local. Would this be coincidence, or does the algorithm affect this too?

How frequently does google release these updates?

Google Local went live this month as a replacement for Places, well, so not sure what you mean by being top?

How frequently does google release these updates?

In 2012 at least, it seems to be monthly

Thanks for getting back to me. Although I find the SEO stuff fascinating, I must admit I'm a novice. What I am trying to ask is, is Google+ affected by Penguin and Panda, in the same way the organic listings(?) are?

Almost forgot. What I mean by being top of the google+ page, is being in the 'A' position for my chosen keywords.

Good question, will confess to not really getting to grips with the new Google Local roll out, but there is a post at the top of my Google Local going on about the new Local scoring system.

I'm with you, just done a search, and no where to be seen for mine, so you're not the novice you thought you were

I'm not convinced with this approach to get us to live inside Google Land, and to search within Google Plus, but no doubt time will tell...

Sources seem credible, and I'm not sure Steve would lead us astray with something like this.
