Hello,

I have two suggestions:-

1. Target your local area and small/medium sized businesses. Approach these businesses as the local man/woman who wants to help them market their website better.

2. Target a niche market in a larger area (retail, accountants, hotels etc). Approach them as the specialist in their business who wants to help them to market their website better.

Trouble is with this approach, if the OP has no proven track record or portfolio of happy punters, then who will give you a break?

Maybe a few loss leaders to build up a client list, iron out issues, processes etc.

It is important to increase the online visibility for this purpose. This can be done in the best possible way through creating and maintaining a strong presence on the social networking websites.

For getting clients, you must communicate through some media. They are IM forums, online Market and show the previous work samples. I hope bu this way you can establish yourself an expert worker.
