I've got to be honest logiseek, this month you've asked about increasing PR, getting traffic through Facebook and now PPC.
It might also be worth noting that Google are pretty active in this area (hardly surprising as its where much of their revenue is derived from), anyway, you can get in contact with an account manager at Google who will help guide you through the adwords set up process. Much of the time they will set the campaigns up for you once you have opened an account, but I'd suggest looking up the numerous adwords help forums to get an idea of what's going on first. There are also Videos provided by Google that can help you get to grips with the Adwords interface. A benefit of contacting Google is you can ask them directly for a voucher, saves looking around the web for one's that have probably expired. Just to add to Paul's comments, once you have created the spreadsheet he mentions it is fairly easy to upload the data into your Google account using the free adwords editor software. rogerweavers

I think it's best to take a mixed methods approach so learn about all aspects of online advertising and marketing. PPC can be great in bringing traffic to your site but you have to know how to utilise it properly, you might even be better to outsource PPC to get the best results. I find the main issue is that you can just spend money so quickly. If you decided to work on PPC yourself set up an account to manage your funds. I use online credit cards as I think it's the easiest way to manage budgets, which is the one fundamental thing. I use Entropay but their are many others out there as well.
