BBC in a hot seat - snubs MSP's?

If you were asked to appear before a committee for something, would you go?

There seems to be a little debate as to why the BBC refused to appear before a committee where they were asked to defend statements made in response to an inquiry that had union representatives complaining about job cuts and the general morale of the staff.
