I always get a case for mine as phones live in my pockets and keys and coins scratch them.
We found that iTunes was a bit of a pain in the corporate world as it was difficult to manage accounts for employees as they all needed their own username and pass. With BlackBerry BES you have so much more central control from a BES server.
There is software now called Good Technology which gives you the BES type functions on non-Blackberry phones such as having the ability to remote wipe and use secure email etc. I think it was written by two guys that used to work for RIM.
