Have just got one of these phones, compared to the iphone I'm happy with it. I have set up the email account which works fine both sending and receiving. But for some reason it auto deletes any received emails once they have been read, which isn't much cop to me. Can anyone explain in plain simple to understand english how to prevent this?

Thanks,
Barney

I found this from a droid forum, that talks about outlook settings etc. Would this be able to help out?

If you have setup Outlook or Outlook Express to receive your personal email, follow instuction below:
Open Outlook
Go to Tools > E-mail Accounts
Select View or change existing e-mail accounts, select Next
Select Change
Select More Settings
Select Advanced
Check "Leave a copy of messages on the server"
Select OK
Select Next from the E-mail Accounts screen
Select Finish

I also found this from another android forum

Log into your Email account from a computer and go to settings... There should be something to the affect of POP3/SMTP properties or settings... There should be an option to keep messages. For some reason some servers resort to discarding or deleting emails once they have been read on the POP3/SMTP account.. Some accounts also don't actually delete them but automatically move them to a POP3 folder that it creates on it's own so they will no longer be in your Inbox......

Hope this helps a little.

Easy when you know how Thanks I've spent the last 48hrs trying to get my head around this and visiting different forums. Spent 5 minutes on here and it's sorted!
