feel for you sucker

this thread has been going for 4 years but looks like nothing has changed other than this screen company has made a mint. amazed people still signing up for it. I thought most of the post offices had closed by now and ive never seen an advertsing screen in my doctors

I used these many moons ago and although the thought process behind them is good, in reality the counter staff get really annoyed with the ads constantly playing so either turn it off or turn the sound down. Me personally I use my local Post Office which doesn't have a screen. Getting to our main post office now is a parking nightmare

My views & opinions are my own

Don't touch these people with a barge pole . We foolishly signed up in November 2014 and put a £500 deposit down to advertise in the local doctors surgery as we offer Massage Therapy and thought it would be good place to advertise and build up a relationship. After continuously writing and phoning CNetwork.tv or sometimes known as The Community Network finally admitted they couldn't get our advert working and offered us an alternative location.

We said that they only reason we signed up was that we could advertise in that location and asked to cancel our contract and get a full refund . They point blank refused. Luckily we paid everything by credit card so Nat West have refunded our money as the goods and services paid for were not delivered. Beware !!!!!!!

Has anyone had any dealings with these guys? I'm just about to start a 2 year advertising campaign with them.

I've paid £520 exc vat per year for 2 yrs, to have a animated advert on the post office screen in Crownhill plymouth to advertise my website. There is also a charge of £135 exc vat that takes into account 4 design changes per year. Good for me with Summer Xmas and big promo's etc!

My deal is that i get 60 sec's of advertising every 10 mins for 2 yrs. I can also change locations but i think there is an admin fee for this! They also spread the cost by direct debit which i suppose is good. I will also get first refusal on the ad space at the end of my advertising contract.

I will keep everyone posted as i think this in theory could work out to be a good method of getting your business advertised, plus it's quite cheap compared to some newspaper ads and way better than trudging miles putting leaflets through letter boxes!

Anyone else's views on this company would be most appreciated!! Just don't tell me they are a load of crooks!!!

having once worked for the community network - <edited by admin> please write recorded delivery straight away for any of those on a contract as this is the only way they accept your termination and unfortunately they will not allow you out of the contract until completion, and will not tell you when is due to end either

Appreciate you adding your feedback. I've had to remove part of your post as it is borderline slander/anecdotal. We want to keep it as factual as possible, such as your useful information about cancelling using recorded delivery

Thanks,
Forum Admin

They have been trying to charge me for an advert which did not run at a local post office from January (when it was Closed for refurbishment) to June. - I had already paid for January and they took an unauthorised payment out in April -( I ha d already cancelled my Direct Debit.) - They are now doing their "Pay up or we charge the full contract amount plus Interest" line.  - They say they have allowed 3 Months for the refurbishment time  but the Amount they claim is still the same as it was before I raised the issue -  I took photographs on my Mobile throughout the time the advert was not running and it was also confirmed by P.O Counter staff - That, of course does not make any difference to their stance as all they want is your Money and nothing else matters. As has been said before, do not touch them with a Barge Pole - My Contact ran out at the end of June thank God, but they still want their Pound of Flesh!

BE VERY WARY....be very cautious of these people, they conned me out of a large sum of money, our business WAS in Ireland and our so called advertising was to begin 18 months ago at a time when advertising was crucial to the business, it was to happen in a doctors surgery on the other side of our town and never happened and after our business closed down in march of this year ( 1 year after our contract was supposed to start ) they notified me that due to unforseen circumstances they have to advertise our business over 100 miles away, when I told them there's no point our business has gone bust and closed down and even if we were still open advertising 100 miles away would have been no good to us they qouted some clause stating it was their right to relocate the ad and although we waited a whole year for this ad and had gone bust in the meantime we were still obligated to our contract and must still pay and a refund of our money was out of the question.

BE VARY VERY WARY

For me this was the biggest mistake we made, but we are in Australia doing a Google search seem to have the same results all round people being ripped off, be careful of the roll over contract.

I joined the C Network as a customer 2014, after a visit from one of their sales man who lied to me about the Vat being included in the price he gave me, my advice would be not to use this company

they are a total con... I have had nothing but problems with them from the start they never send me my monthly receipts on time I have to phone them every time or they say void on them. The customer service is terrible and not helpful and when I asked for the owner of the company name they refused to give it to me for data protection reasons they said. My advert had not been running for weeks yet they still charged me, when I wrote a written complaint about bad service and not receiving receipts on time, they rang me back and said sorry it is are fault and then accused me of it being my fault they had not been doing there job properly by the end of the conversation, terrible service, terrible customer service team useless and glad now I have cancelled the contract so it does not run over the 2 year period which of course is in the small print, did not get any business from the advert as I ask all new customers where they heard about me from over 400 new customers in the last 18 months and not one said it was from their advert. Regret now getting involved with them and would not recommend anyone does...

They did not listen to me as a customer and I am going to complain about them to a higher authority as they should not be allowed to get away with this.

Good advice don't do it you will regret it.....
