Having just watched question time and Boris and Nicola earlier on ITV I believe we'll be leaving. Eddie Izzard for me was a complete embarrassment to watch and completely lost the plot when calling an audience member who disagreed with him as a little Englander! And if you watched him he spent the entire evening waving his arms and hands as a means of getting his point across........ Now where in Europe have we seen that before?.. Farage should have just punched his lights out and been done with it...

So your not sitting on the fence anymore then? To be honest I'm not sure what was the point of the televised debate, firstly the questions were already pre-written prior to them being asked. At most only 4 or 5 questions were asked to both Farage and Cameron and the woman host forgot what her name is, kept chipping in to tell them to hurry up with their answers.... in fact i found the programme to be annoying and little or nothing more was to be learned from this so called farcical debate..... Which wasn't really a debate...

I'll stick with the leave campaign as up to now no one has given me a single valued reason to remain. I think the argument over trade is absolute nonsense, if you / we want another nations goods and services we will purchase them and vice versa. As Farage said the USA does far more trade with the EU than what the UK does....... I also think that the vote is going to be more about immigration and the resulting lack of services such as in schools and hospitals because of it rather than the EU...... We'll have to wait and see

So what do you do then?

Interesting article in the Daily Mail about box sets..... to be honest I'd never heard of them until this thread......

Not in a million years will the UK give up it's currency for the Euro, it would be the final nail in the coffin over whether we stay or not..... Next you'll be suggesting the end of the pint! Fat chance....

I'm all for adults smacking children when the children do wrong...... As long as those same adults are willing to accept a good smacking themselves when they do wrong......  I struggle to see how it is acceptable to smack say a 10 year for stealing, yet smack a 20year for the same offense and then your guilty of assault.....

Becoming a Non Smoker 4th June 2016 11:15 PM

I'm a bit too pig headed just to chuck in the towel, Haven't really been bothered by it up to now. As it happens I went to see the Doc the other week as I couldn't cough properly apparently this was affecting both smokers and non smokers. Anyway he asked  how much i smoked, so told him it was the smallest pouch of tobacco thinking that will give me some sort of leeway with him..... "Er that will be the equivalent of 40 a day then" he said

So my intention is to be on these e-cigs for a while started last Saturday on 18mg strength today I've started on the 12mg pack... And next week we'll see.. Now my sense of smell is returning I'm now going to have to get my house re-decorated and the vehicles are going to need a proper clean.....

Becoming a Non Smoker 3rd June 2016 1:23 PM

Well, the last time I had a proper cigarette was last Friday. Not entirely convinced chomping on an e-cigarette = not smoking.... Think I'd go stark raving mad if I went straight cold turkey.... We'll see how it goes........

The EU - Has Cameron done enough? 3rd June 2016 1:08 PM

Personally I think it's great that the public front out politicians and call them liars to their face. For far too long the public has just sat back and taken at face value what politicians have said, now every statement they make is scrutinised which can only be a good thing. Politicians have to be held accountable to the people they serve and even more so does the Prime Minister. Tony Blair ended the free reign of lying or misleading Prime Ministers by taking the UK into war.

So throughout the current stay / leave campaign there have been scaremongering claims probably from both sides of the argument, but more so from the remain camp about what will happen if the public vote to leave. Well no one actually knows what will happen, what ever does happen will only happen gradually over time and not overnight, We'll still trade and travel with Europe, interest rates will still rise and fall....in fact life will carry on pretty much as usual.....

I'm still out and will remain out, maybe because I still have this nostalgic romantic view of what the UK once was, it might not be the right view, but it's the one I have and I'll stick with it...

This seems like another Maxwell escapade and I'm pretty sure that after the Maxwell fiasco, laws were put into place to prevent company bosses from accessing / robbing their employees pension pots........
