Why do celebs go all political? 14th April 2015 8:54 AM

Its just simple product endorsement, lucrative for the celebrity and a lot of people like to feel reassured seeing a familiar face. Just like seeing a famous face selling car insurance, you know they don't work for the insurance firm, but its a proven concept.

Few people sit and analyse manifestos, so voting decisions are made on sound bites, celebrity endorsements and peer pressure.

Feel like I'm missing out, it's something I've never seen but heard lots about

Aldi and lidl business model 15th March 2015 8:25 PM

hm, at our local Aldi there's not much room to pack at all so you really have to throw it your trolley and worry about packing afterwards. The next time I go in I'm going to take your approach.

apparently Morrisons are getting rid of the veg misting machines. I quite liked it as i assumed it kept the veg fresher...probably a gimmick, along with my more and most? card that I have had to squeeze onto my key ring, which is full of other scan it and win cards. Morrisons aren't doing very well and are closing 27 stores. I think they came to the party too late, although at least they came to it, unlike other brands who are failing e.g. BHS.

I can sometimes hear my neighbour but she vows she can't hear me. I can remember at a previous house my neighbour worked nights and left her 15 ish aged son on his own overnight. He decided to play his new lovely stereo with huge speakers at such a volume that it shook the floorboards! His mum came around to see if he had caused any problems with his music...there lay the conundrum....am I honest, he gets a bo**ocking and then it's not just the floorboards but the whole house shaking next time or say no and hope he gets the message? I didn't speak up and a bit like the other poster thought what goes around comes around. I guess some people are more sensitive to noise, but then you do think move.

i have to confess I only recently ventured in to Aldi and was quite surprised. They have some branded good and most made to look like branded goods. What I don't understand is how they ponder cut other supermarkets. Is the quality worse? I tried the wine and it's comparable, the cat food looks the same and the olives, I just don't understand the model is it volume based or cheaper ingredients?

I think it's great publicity for him and apparently it was all over a steak! Last I heard his petition was over 650,000 signatures so someone likes him.

I was talking to someone who works at Maccy Ds and click and collect is being introduced at our local store. I think you order it at one place and collect it at another, a bit like drive through but you're walking! I suppose for them it cuts down on waste and for us food is cooked freshly.

i think they have missed the point though, people want healthier food now and I think I heard that profits are down? I wonder what happened to the mccafe?

So did Shrien Dewani do it? Do we care? 10th December 2014 12:23 PM

Yes but in reality it all looks very suspicious, why did he marry her when he is gay. Footage was shown of him meeting the guys who did it, everything didn't add up and we will never know the truth and of course indizine you are right I have made up my mind but only based on the little I have seen and I would say he is guilty! Why were they in a rundown township that nobody would go to at that time of night or anytime in fact. It's her family I feel sorry for as they will never know the truth.
