High quality directories for London 20th September 2012 12:33 PM
Hi, Does anyone have a list of high quality business directories for London (and or the UK). I consider anything like FreeIndex as a high quality directory. I realise on some of them you will need to pay a small fee. The FreeIndex charge I consider reasonable. Whereas the Qype charge I consider a rip off.

So any recommendations are welcome. Thank you.
Leaflets Worthwhile? 19th September 2012 9:17 PM
Hi Harry,

My experience of leafleting has been bad. Complete waste of money. Even when the leaflets were good quality and the design good.

Hi Jack,

What is your business?
Facebook results - Oh dear, $157m loss! 17th September 2012 11:41 PM
From what I have read in the press this week, they have a new bag of tricks, and I expect their share prices to go up, at least temporarily, before going down again.
How to get clients for my service? 15th July 2012 2:20 PM
Give us a bit more info on your service first. I assume by your online name that it's "online marketing", if sp use online marketing tools successfully. This will demonstrate to your customers that you know what you are talking about anf if you can get business for yourself by online marketing, then you should be able to do the same for them. Does that make sense!
Nokia slides into survival mode... 12th July 2012 12:38 PM
I am not very surpised at all by this. I think most people have been expecting this. I also think, Blackberry could be next in line, in next 5 years. It's still a major player in corporate messaging, but for how long?
Microsoft sheds staff! 12th July 2012 12:35 PM
From what I can see, Microsoft is moving away from the channel model to direct. So with Office 360 and various other services, they are offering it directly to compete with Google. They are now looking to produce their own tablet, and I can see them possibly producing their own laptop/PC. They have done really well whenever they have controlled the complete package/product. XBox is a good example of that. They entered the console area late in the day, with 2 major competitors fully established and became the dominant player. I also see them going towards the Apple model and doing both the hardware and software. They may lose market share, but they will be a big player as they have their hands in many pies. That's my opinion anyway.

IBM did a good thing by moving away from the PC market. As far as I know they are a major player in the corporate IT/availability market place.

I wouldn't be surprised if everyone is feeling the pinch a little.
I probably start at 9am. However, I finish quite late, so on average I leave the office around 7pm, and I will probably go home and do a few more hours at home on most days (after my daughter has gone to sleep).
Very scary mothers protesting. I read about this in the press. Good on them for standing up for their rights.

Although this might have been a positive one, I have found it can also work the other way. Did any of you ever watch the Channel 4 documentary "Attack of the Trip Advisors". I have also seen similar things on eBay where people are itching to complain about anything and everything and leave back reviews online.
