Free Publicity - guerilla marketing 18th March 2013 12:58 PM
Hey guys, why don`t we share some ideas for free publicity anyway? The thread title is very expressive, so I guess many people would be interested. I would start with Guerilla Marketing, as there are some very interesting marketing techniques, which can be applied for free.
Internal HR People 18th March 2013 12:51 PM
I think that HR staff is still underestimated when it comes to importance. Businesses are trying to save from salaries, but would that lead them in the right direction?
Probably this is a very good example of a working business model!
Zombie Startups - are you one? 14th March 2013 10:46 AM
Its the first time I hear the term "Zombie Startup". Isn`t there any "Vampire Start-up"- something like metaphorically sucking the blood of your competitors?
Do you run a business from home? 14th March 2013 10:44 AM
I'm the same as you, and would get nothing done at home!

But do you think you would lose credibility in the eyes of potential partners or suppliers if you decided to become home based, or do you think its a non issue, with the availability of virtual offices, hot desks and meeting rooms?

I tend to agree with Indizine that people take you more seriously being office based, but that seems to go against what other businesses are saying who I've been talking to recently, who are established firms and not start ups.

Interesting to see the difference of opinions.

I also agree that the potential clients will take you more seriously if you have an office. I know people who work from home, but pay for an office, just to be able to invite a client there.

Lol, that is what I call thinking out-of-the-box Clever Barney
I have read an interview of a Russian businessman (sorry, his name just slipped out of my mind) who said that he`d never invest into an overnight success, as it is unstable investment. That`s why he invests very carefully and if something turns out to double its value too quick, he just sells, as he considers it too risky.
