The Bribery Act 2010 aims to encourage businesses to adopt anti-bribery practices, by modernising the law on bribery.

It will be a criminal offence to give, promise or offer a bribe and to request, agree to receive or accept a bribe. The legislation increases the maximum penalty for bribery from seven to 10 years

My naivety showing here, but I thought it has been illegal to offer a bribe anyway!

This might be a worry for peeps gaining contracts abroad using intermediaries. Not a big worry for my line of work

What's wrong with a good old fashioned backhander, someone does you a favour, you give them a drink. Simple enough, but yet this could be seen as bribery too.

Should be more of it in the UK, caught speeding, give the old bill

You don't need the Bribery act to be done for trying to bribe a Police Officer - it is called perverting the course of justice.

Ahh Comrade Kip is in the house

Your wrong about Fords though, its RangeRover Sports on HP, and Executive Barrrats homes on interest only mortgage, with his and her shell suits

What's wrong with Eastenders?
