I despise updates, everything updates too often, then normally Microsoft breaks something doing an update I never even wanted

Well the recent update has all but killed my computer, was nothing wrong up to this update. This particular computer actually does say no ...... and switches off....

Thanks,
Barney

Learned something interesting over the weekend from a tech person.  Another way of stealing your identity is to hack into your computer, activate the camera and watch you type in username and password.  Suggestion was made to cover camera with blue tac.

Back in June, commander in chief of Facebook, Mark Zuckerburgs laptop was spotted in a photo with tape over the webcam and microphone.

I suppose to keep things in perspective, you need to have something of value to make it worth while for hackers to choose you versus 100 million+ other computer users.

IMHO I suspect taping up webcams will become a modern day Tinfoil Hat syndrome.

I'll stick with decent security products and common sense versus gaffer tape

Yesterday I had to install lots of updates which took ages and then crashed my computer. Then my antivirus updated and broke, repaired itself and then needed another restart. Now my PDF thingy has just told me its update failed.

Updates pah!
