Hi

Im by no way a SEO expert but i have literally just Googled the name and found a few negative comments that would set my alarm bells ringing. Thats a huge chunk of money to gamble away if you are unsure of the results.

Go with your gut instinct - if you dont feel happy using them dont sign the contract.

One possible way forward if you still do want to use them would be to see if they will do a 3 month contract - try then out - if you are happy with the results then go ahead and keep on investing, if you arent happy you can walk away - its a tactic we frequently use. To be fair if the company has a problem doing that we rarely proceed.

Hope this helps

Clive

ive just spoken to the guy who we deal with who is a family freind and hes going to send me a list of happy punters who i can talk to, good idea about the 3 month contract though ill suggest it,
thanks

I have mixed feelings, they are a big company, so certainly not fly by night, but we got stung by a similar big SEO company a couple of years ago.

If they insist on a 12 month contract, run for the hills. In this day and age it's nonsense. As Clive says, 90 days is adequate, and long enough to prove their worth.

If you are giving them access to your site - BE CAREFUL! Our SEO company (one of the UK's largest) let the new teaboy and trainee loose, causing damage and downtime to our business. Make everything change controlled. (Ask them if they implement change control - if they havent heard of it - run)

In otherwords, let them agree a list of changes if any work needs doing on your website, you then review and question if need be, then YOU decide when they can be implemented (ie out of your business hours).

This is all basic stuff any professional SEO outfit should already adhere too.

We went through months of pain which ended up with legal action and an eventual apology from the CEO. So we are now anal about any contractual tie ins, and now refuse access to our servers until technical credentials and professional ability have been proven.

Yes - definitely agree with previous comments...

..go with gut instinct. At least keep looking for somebody who you'll be happy with. You should be more confident of their ability before splashing out 6K!

Hi - I think there is lots of great advice being given here by people that know their stuff! I am also no expert but six grand is definitely a lot of money to spend outright on SEO -- especially when there are many things you can do yourself if you know what you are doing. So I would be inclined to pay for a consultation with regards to how your site can be further optimized and do the work yourself and only spend the big bucks on major, campaign related needs. But as I said I too am no expert.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi

I work in the SEO industry and have heard plenty about the company, my colleague used to work their and doesn't rate them at all says their are more salespeople than SEO's and it has a factory style SEO they do the same changes for every site and throw spammy links at it depending on your competition and budget. For Just search

I wondered today how just search might be getting on with helping the site promotion, so I tracked down the url "www.supanaturalz.com" and thought the title tag of the home page would probably be what terms they had agreed to use for targeting.

One of them in the title tag is "utritional Supplements" the have left the "N" of to spell "Nutritional Supplements"

I hope Mark knows about it.
