“Hi Thanks for your Kind Information, but I Need Brief Information” Ok, if my 101 doc didn't do it, heres a defintion from wikipedia: Meta elements are HTML or XHTML elements used to provide structured metadata about a Web page. Such elements must be placed as tags in the head section of an HTML or XHTML document. Meta elements can be used to specify page description, keywords and any other metadata not provided through the other head elements and attributes. The meta element has four valid attributes: content, http-equiv, name, and scheme. Of these, only content is a required attribute. Meta element - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
When people refer to meta tags, they are usually referring to the meta description tag and the meta keywords tag. Usually the information that you provide in a meta tag is used by search engines to index a page so that someone searching for the kind of information the page contains will be able to find it. There is slightly difference between Meta Tag and keywords. But most people say that there is not difference. What you say about this?
“There is slightly difference between Meta Tag and keywords. But most people say that there is not difference. What you say about this?” I say that what you have said makes no sense tomsk
“There is slightly difference between Meta Tag and keywords. But most people say that there is not difference. What you say about this?” Meta tags can contain keywords, and search engines may use the keywords contained in these tags as a guide to indexing your website. They are, in themselves, not keywords however. Here comes the code:
<meta name="keywords" content="your keywords" /> <meta name="description" content="description about your website" />
Its a good thing to remember that whilst your keywords can help with your search terms, it is your content that search engines will ultimately look at to determine your relevance to a respective search. Hope this clears things up!
Meta description should contain a brief description of your website focusing on the areas and services that your business is specialized in. Important things to include in your Meta Description: -Include your Selling Point– Tell your customers what they want to hear through your site’s Meta Description, and you will definitely get some advantage over others in the SERP. -Keywords – Including some of your keywords will give you some advantage in Google’s relevancy algorithm
