Dohhh, just checked, 1 site down 1 point, everything else the same

I think they update 6 monthly now, or at least the tool bar.

Yes, we are getting increase in the page rank...

But has your traffic changed?

If it hasn't then it shows that PR is not related to anything useful. Or anything that you need to worry about measuring.

I started a small blog in December last year and I had not used anything to get links to it, but I got PR 2.However, I do not think PR is useful at all - nothing had changed with my website's traffic or rankings since I got it, so it looks pretty much dead to me.

Exactly PR has nothing to do with the amount of traffic or success a website enjoys.

lol it is true, our blog went from a 0 to a 3, and still gets no traffic

PR has to be the premier marketing tool on the internet for the SEO/SEM industry and just about everyone else outside it couldn't care less

I know it's pointless and means nothing, but I still get miffed when we drop, and manage a huzzah when we rise. Maybe it's ingrained?

The average PR across all the domains in the world is 1. That is how the algorithm works.

So as more pages and domains appear the chances are that your PR will drop anyway just due to the expansion of the internet.

Hah you have a point, everyone feels good when they see that their PR gets higher. I think the reason for that is in our psychology - we all feel good when someone likes our work (in that case uncle Google ).

I felt really good when I saw PR 2 and I even thought "Ohh how big you got ", but still nothing changes
