What kind of backlinks work after panda and penguin?

Especially after Penguin 2 you need to change your overall strategy. Its the best time to evolve your efforts, being social, take care of spam, whether knowingly or unknowingly you or texts are doing mistakes. Special care of anchor texts, selecting/using anchor text for blog comments, forum signatures etc. Now either ensure best practices or don't do SEO, you have to go either side! CBIL360
lol, thats the first time I've heard an SEO firm advising people not to do SEO ![]() Personally I think you should concentrate with on site SEO, all the things you can easily do, and forget link building. Do what the Google god is trying to get us all to do, let your links grow naturally.

Since you know its the time SEO is in evolving phage where objective, strategy, expertise all are important. You can't hire a guy just to insert your website links to web. Last but not the least - You have to choose either side i.e doing it with ensuring best practices, expertise or not do it use paid things like adwords you don't have option to select middle path CBIL360
Is it just me or does there seem to be quite a few automated/spam replies to this thread? @ andrewtomkinson - not sure how wordtracker.com a keyword research/mining tool would build backlinks? Otherwise the post does look like spam, sorry.. It's just like Bruce Lee said 'The Art of SEO without SEO' ![]() I hate getting involved in seo discussions as everyones got opposing opinions lol.. “You can't hire a guy just to insert your website links to web.” I know what you're saying, do it properly or not at all - that's far from reality though, seo is seen as closest thing to snake oil salesmen! (unfortunately for the legitimate/long term ones).. 1upsearch
“Is it just me or does there seem to be quite a few automated/spam replies to this thread?” The mods do try and remove most C&P stuff and obvious spam, but SEO threads do have a habit of self destructing by passing SEO's, normally from non UK or USA residents ![]() “I know what you're saying, do it properly or not at all - that's far from reality though, seo is seen as closest thing to snake oil salesmen! (unfortunately for the legitimate/long term ones)..” While there is financial reward to be had, then there will always be plenty of people happy to game the system and make a quick return, with little interest to long term impact, and plenty of shady SEOers happy to oblige. I feel sorry for those caught in the crossfire, unsuspecting website owners who are creating rich content and/or authoritative sites, but fall prey to bad SEO either from poor advice, poor research, naive, over reliance on inexperienced web developers/marketeers.
You can engage in a link building strategy, but most of your links should be from relevant platforms and embedded within relevant content. It's OK if they are not all relevant, but most of them should be. Forums like this are fine. A profile link from a dog grooming community to an internet marketing blog is not. MasBro
I am also looking answer to the same question as my site was badly hit after those updates from google and i am trying to recover as soon as possible plz suggest me what i need to do .i think quality back links will work but i am not sure what google thinks Sara Tulip
“I am also looking answer to the same question as my site was badly hit after those updates from google” Have you been engaged in an aggressive link building campaign (or an outsourced SEO?). Have you been doing any advertorial stuff, ie poor quality articles stuffed with keyword phrases pointing back to your site? Have a look (or ask your webmaster to look) in your webmaster tools, and see if there are any messages or start analyzing your linking structure. Remember the well publicised Interflora Penalty, which was down to lots of poor quality advertorials and poor links. Can you learn anything from their issues?
