Just seen Jobs the 2013 movie about Steve Jobs

Want to see that film, sounds like it's worth watching

Watched sliding doors for about the 3rd time with the missus the other day. It's a classic (1998) Friday night romcom if you haven't seen it, about a couple but shown from the perspective of 2 parallel universes. ie what would happen if you missed that tube train, and the consequences that unfold.

Great performance from Gwyneth Paltrow, but why do American actresses play British parts?

Top film though

Could say the same about British actors playing Americans - Hugh Laurie, brilliant in House, Damian Lewis played a cracking role in Homeland (well before they hung him!) just to name a couple

I do like a good laugh, so any of the carry on films. I too like James Bond, because I enjoy a good thriller,  and also keen on Sci Fi such as Star Wars, fascinated to see how the future may look like.

You can see the future here

2001 - a mobile phone of the future?

Plus am a big fan of 2001

You can get carried away with this films is good and that film is bad.   The only criterion should be that if the film holds your attention it is good, if it doesn't it isn't.   If you find the film interesting at that time you can enjoy it because your mood changes, your taste changes and so what interests you changes.   If you can watch a film more than once it must be a good film, end of story.   It is either interesting, absorbing, exciting, thrilling or just holds your attention, that is a good film.

Thanks,
Don

Very true and a good point that different views can relate to different moods.

But can also be interesting to hear about films you haven't come across before and put on your own watch list

Just seen Jobs the 2013 movie about Steve Jobs, starring Aston Kusthner in the title role. It's probably Aston's best turn as an actor, he's is spookily convincing as Jobs.

Watched it as well. Fraid wasn't that impressed, its all right in a if nothing else is on kind of way

didnt think kusthner was that convincing for me but does shows how ruthless business can be.

Johno
