Social media - a waste of time? 12th February 2013 11:22 AM
Just wondered what other people's thoughts are on social media.
Apart from Facebook which everyone seems to log into at least twice a day, Twitter, G+ and any others just seem dead or full of spam bots.

Was wondering if social media is all it's cracked up to be in your experience or just a lot of noise and agencies making money from clients with too much of it.

Couldn't agree more with you, though I doubt if many others on here will When you use to speak to anyone in the SEO world it use to be you need links links and more links even though you may already have 20,000 links someone would always say you needed more. Now they all say you need to invest heaps of money and time on these social networking sites which no one takes much notice of, apart from those who work in the SEO world, its getting to the stage where it is cheaper to use ppc and achieve better results...
And most vegetables are grown using what? I know because I've just bought half a ton of the stuff, there is no escape it's just a matter of taste
I can't remember a time when I actually bought a CD never mind bought from HMV. I download everything nowadays and I think this is going to be the way forward. It's also cheaper as there are no overheads of printing etc... Blackbusters are the same

Do you lie to your kids? Obviously 27th January 2013 7:33 PM
Over the years I've been present at the birth of many animals and found it to be one of the most captivating experiences one can have. Seen child birth once...... And that was enough for me never again
Do you lie to your kids? Obviously 23rd January 2013 10:58 PM
I think the biggest lie starts just after child birth and everyone starts cooing "Oh isn't she / he a beautiful baby".... Really?
Barclays Bank told to pay 23rd January 2013 12:12 AM
I don't think they will have to many problems paying it. Last Thursday opened a new business banking account with them, had to meet with the local business manager 4 hours this meeting took just to open a bog standard business. They sign you upto "My Business Works" package which consists of 12 months access to moonfruit website builder, sage one bookeeping a one day marketing course, which according to their own literature consists of nothing more than "how to open a facebook account" "how to open a Google+ account" "how to open a Scoot account"
So not having time to read all the bumph at this meeting, took it home to read and realised none of it was appropriate for me. So called them up yesterday and told them I would not be attending and wished to cancel as paying Barclays
Will SEO end In Future?? 21st January 2013 11:47 PM
In 50 years time SEO, Google and marketing will be of no interest to me at all
Seems HMV may have be thrown another lifeline, administrators are also allowing those who have gift vouchers to start using them again from tomorrow...
Trouble is with any kind of food production, you have no idea whats in the final product. The only way to be sure is to either rear and kill the meat yourself and grow your own fruit and veg. Foods that are labeled as free range or organic have been known to mislead consumers into paying premium prices for not so premium food, chicken have been known to have been taken out of the shed, given a square metre of land to roam on and reclassified as being free range. Then you get free range organic extra large eggs! As a kid we had both ducks and chickens none of them ever popped out extra large eggs. Any kind of mass food production will always allow for someone in the chain to add fillers and additives on the cheap add a few spices and flavourings and the consumer is none the wiser.
