Channel 4 money grabbers 12th April 2016 3:09 PM

Actually .....IMHO

Ch4 are doing a much better job than ITV did when they had it a while back.

Ch4 DO NOT show adverts during the live race. There are loads pre and after the actual race but thats to be expected.

They also do show adverts during the extended highlights, that can be annoying but as they are highlights you arent actually missing the race, unlike ITV - so many times you came back from an ad break on a live race only to find there had been a crash or a crucial pitstop fail

Still getting used to the new presenter, Steve Jones, but they have poached DC as co-commentator - great to get his input as a retired driver.

Best way to watch the F1 is still to get Sky and their F1 channel which was free if you took their HD package. I can't get Sky due to a ruddy great Oak tree at the bottom of my garden, so have to make do with Virgin. Moving soon so looking forward to getting back with Sky and seeing ALL the races live

Yep - horrible deciding their future

Had to have a couple of cats put down, you know its for the best but doesn't make that heart wrenching decision any easier

I dont understand how he can lose control of his own business

USA Laws !! Imagine us dictating our rules to a USA company - wonder what they would say to us?

Should the UK keep steel plants? 5th April 2016 4:35 PM

Not really been following this but i am sure i heard a sound bite the other day when the news first broke... they were losing a million pounds a day !

How is that viable to keep it open if that figure is correct - more to the point maybe is how come its costing that much to keep the plant open, could we do anything to reduce costs to make it viable?

Not quite the same but i have decided to re-home my cat, really don't want to but the other half has a dog and one has to go , it was universally decided (by her) that the cat was not in our future.

Fortunately my ex has said that she will have the cat, just have to summon the courage to arrange a date Patch will leave me- i feel just the same as i did when my last cat died

I have tried a few times to speak text in my car, but SIRI fails to get 99% of any message i want to send wrong, so i normally have to pull over or just wait until i get home. Nothing is so desperate that it cant wait 15/20 mins until i reach my destination. No life is worth so little !

The amount of idiots on the road that text, shave, apply make up, comb their hair is obscene and thoroughly deserve to have big fines and points applied

Pimms o'clock April Fool 1st April 2016 12:36 PM

Hmm !

I actually rang one of the companies earlier, whos data we manage on MLS - she actually thought i was winding her up as an April fool

I get the need for the charges as its to pay for the extra security post 911, but the charges are not inline with the needs pf the passengers.

Parking will always be a premium at an airport but for dropping off/collecting passengers people are being ripped off.

Where do you go if you get to the airport a few minutes early to ensure you are not stuck in traffic?

I have never picked anyone up at the airport so I have never come across this...starting to feel a bit left out

I'm going away in June. Looking for a lift back at 2.30AM if you really want to?
