Hello KatieKat,

You have a guaranteed market for selling food because we all need it. The only thing you need to work out is where to pitch the van to get the customers plus any license you may need from local government gangsters The advantage of being mobile is that you can move the business from location to location if necessary.

Don't be put off by negative people. Just ignore them and go for it.

The British Army should be used only for the defence of the UK and British territory abroad. It has no authority to get involved anywhere else.

Since the start of World War 1 the British Army (Military) has had its hand held by other countries. Ignorant people in the UK still believe that the British won both world wars. They did not - they were lucky to be on the winning side and that is the sum of it.
I've just come across this forum, so forgive me if I'm talking out of turn here or unwittingly breaking any rules.

Broadening things out a little, I found this interesting little video this morning. He is using his own (for sale) software, but nevertheless it is a useful appraisal of the post penguin world.

The video is about a third way down the page, 11.33 long video

As this is my first post I can't put in the url so you'll have to search for Dr Andy Williams SEO, and then checkout newsletter #339.

It's worth a look.

Ian,

Thank you for the referral. I have had a look and subscribed to his newsletter service.

Hello,

These are good points. With regard to Link Building do you use the service provided by Wordtracker?
This type of selling has been with us for decades and is still going on with 'reputable' companies. You usually find it with home improvements (double glazing, conservatories, kitchens, solar power etc) but where there is a market.....

These people are no different from any other types of intimidation, threats and demanding money with menaces. The usual suspects are government jobsworths, debt collectors, bailiffs and anyone who thinks they have authority over you.
Olympic Torch in Stratford 3rd July 2012 11:03 AM
I am sure that the UK government will use the Olympics as an opportunity to bring out dubious legislation and hide bad news.

No doubt the police and security services will use the Olympics as an excuse to threaten and intimidate people in London (probably everywhere). We are all terrorists unless we prove otherwise!

How much will the Olympics cost? Will there be fully audited accounts open to the public? Who is going to make money out of it apart from the official sponsors?

How important is the headline? 2nd July 2012 1:00 PM
Hello,

Do you believe that the headline is the most important part of all advertisements?

If you haven't done some selling in your headline then you have wasted a great opportunity to promote and sell your products. Most people will read the headline and ignore the rest.

What do you think?

Fuel Duty Frozen! 27th June 2012 3:20 PM
Clive,

An interesting article.

My complaint is that 60% in taxes on the cost of fuel is extortionate and cannot be justified. The good news is that if you are in business you claim your fuel costs against your tax.

I have no sympathy for people who use their cars to go short journeys (less than 2 miles and I am being reasonable here) when they can easily walk/cycle/bus. They deserve to be 'ripped off' by the government.

If you know the right people you will buy your fuel on the black market.

Hello forum members,

If you run a business do you have all the insurance that you need to operate effectively (and legally)? Most business owners forget about this even for the most simple insurances such as fire and property.

If you employee people do you have all the correct insurance?

Do you require public liability insurance?

Don't ignore it because you may be liable.

Samsung Galaxy banned in the US! 27th June 2012 12:15 PM
Hello,

Copying a design and infringing a patent are two totally different things.

Lots of companies manufacture PC's but they all look the same!!! Who owns the patent?

This is an example of Apple 'throwing its toys out of the pram'. No surprise there for the technology equivalent of scientology.

The slimy lawyers will be happy.
