So let me get this right? The Cypriots have to give up some of their savings to bailout the banks? OMG that is unreal.

Gosh we were up in arms when we had to bailout Northern Rock if that happened here i think there would be a civil war.
Junk mail and spam 28th March 2013 3:09 PM
That's marketing for you and from their point of view the more they send the more you're either going to get mad or the more you will fall into the trap?

One instance of spam is by internet marketers. God i can't stand them when they email you rubbish over and over again. I once signed up to this chap from the US and he emailed me twice a day for weeks, i tried to unsubscribe from his list after every email but he kept changing the names of the lists that he was sending from and those using my email address over and over again. He also shared my email address with a chap he knew and i kept getting his junk as well until i contacted my hosting provider and they sorted it. I'm not sure what they did but there was a nice little email waiting for me to say sorry LOL.
With every business unless you scale it then it will get out of hand. Also, look at evolving a business as those who stick with what they have they never last as there is always something bigger and better coming along. Look at the likes of Blockbuster where they were one of the most successful businesses in the late 90's and early naughties but now they've gone bust due to the expanse over such things as itunes etc?

Scaling and evolving your business is the key to longevity.
Spotify - Google style 28th March 2013 2:38 PM
Google will snap up anything that they see will be direct competition to them and it makes sense to do this. Google hold all the cards and that's never going to change until someone buys Google? (never gonna happen)
It just goes to show you that if you treat your employees right then your business can only go one way. John Lewis is a massive company that as been around for years and that's only set to continue but i bet like others companies they've had bad times and it would be good to know just what they do in bad times.
How can i grow my locksmith buisness 28th March 2013 2:29 PM
Be seen. By this i mean your have started off right by joining forums etc and this is a platform to work off. I have a locksmiths business based in London and it is doing really well.

My advice to you would be to either start promoting locally of get yourself on social media site such as FB, Twitter, forums etc.

We managed to get lucky with the local police and we fix the locks of all the houses that they raid and this has got us over 50% of our business. It's either a good thing due to our good work or a bad thing as there must be too many dodgy people out there. LOL
Nokia in serious trouble 28th March 2013 2:25 PM
If Nokia could keep up with the likes of Apple and Samsung then they may have a fighting chance but they've massively missed the boat due to the birth of the smart phone and it's also staggering how many people have an iPhone now.
Do you run a business from home? 28th March 2013 2:23 PM
Most people who work from either have a flexible lifestyle or they have the drive to make a success out of their business. I know that working from home may seem like a good idea but if you can get into the office then that would be my preferred choice as i seem to be able to get more work done due to less distractions.

If you have a flexible lifestyle then working from home is your best option.

Most people use blogging as a bit of fun and for me i'm not sure many people will be making any money from it? With the birth of social media then most people spend their time there and blog on the off chance.

If you're making money from blogging then you're probably in a minority of about 1% if that and those who say they are making money are either lying or aren't making enough to pay the bills.
