Businesses that Aren't Yours but that You'd Recommend

Have to mention a local company who have really impressed me. Yorke Electrical Installations Ltd.

Have used them a couple of times in the past and would already strongly recommend, but this weekend popped they round just to give us some advice about the best way to get our long suffering internet connection and ropey wireless around the house.

They managed to convince me that electric/data socket adapters were no longer rubbish as they were 10 years ago, and put me off having the house hard wired. Instead gave me a brand they recommend and knew to work well, and I could pick up from the local Maplins. Now up and running and gobsmacked how well they work.

Another firm would have just taken my request at face value and quoted for the work. So a big thanks to Conrad the MD and his right hand man whose name I can't remember

If you need any Electrical work doing round the Stratford/Warks area, you can't go far wrong!

Here's one that surprised me... Apple!

Installed a game on the family ipad for the nippers, same one they have at school, only to get hit with a series of unauthorised purchases from in game upgrades.

Never happened before and the game in question actually installs another app which was the cause of the problem. You have to enter a password which should stop any in game purchases, but in this case it didn't work as the password was cached.

Clicked the link in the email receipt saying report this purchase. Arranged a call back via a web form, which I've just had. All very slick, very professional, unauthorised amounts refunded and a help doc so we can lock down our security to stop any future mishaps.

10/10 Apple, very impressed. Shows big outfits can get the balance right between customer service and efficiency.
