Have used both Bing and Google, Bing have very high privacy standards, so do not take all the ads you want to place. Have always been happy with Google and get a good return on our investment to date.

One contract has sent thousands with us from one small ad, but you need to practice and learn from the keywords and what you have to spend, learnt most of my knowledge with google by their free offers.

About to have a go at PPC again, but for us, keywords like IT Support London costs around

Google adwords, love it, rave about it, swear by it

Used it for years, and have consiently good success with it, but have just recently been challenged by an adwords outsourcer that they can tweak our campaign further, absorb the management fee into our normal spend, and give us a better ROI.

Was very cynical, as we get approached all the time, but eventually agreed, and to be fair, they are currently delivering.

They have reduced our actual clicks, making them more targetted, and we are holding at just over 40% for conversion rate, which I can't complain at.

Company is broadplace.com, we've been using them now for nearly 3 months, so still early days, but so far so good.

Steve, how does this company charge - charging structure?

Some people go for swimming pool companies as a keyword in our industry, but lots of people also have problems and use keywords such as swimming pool care? Swimming pool companies can cost

Well this is a good question and has me stumped. They charge a set maintance fee, with a sliding scale per budget. Upto

Thanks Steve.

Do they just manage your Google PPC account, or will they do it all (Yahoo/Bing).

Ryan

I'm using them just for Google, but they will do it all apparently.

But like I say, we are only a few months in, so still early days

Have the usual free Adwords offer from Google. Is it possible to limit in advance a PPC effort that only uses the "free money", plse? At this stage, I think PPC would be near-useless for me (as lots of people want career counselling and help with CVs, training in interview techniques etc but very few realise what it costs to provide worthwhile help) - but I could be wrong!!!
Best wishes Linda
