This type of site are giving a bad user experience to internet users. People are becoming more cynical of sites and search results. Here is one example I came across recently. It comes across as if Plus Net has 5 star review from their customers: PlusNet Broadband review | Expert Reviews

Interesting, plus they don't take into account any of the negative feedback from comments left below the review. But all those comments make lovely content, with "plusnet" keywords, which is prob why it ranks higher.

More of an advertorial than a review

I have had a couple of bad experieneces with Plus Net. When I did a search I found this. As I can imagine I was very angry.

We all do a bit of SEO and optimisation etc, however, a lot of the search results now feel like manipulation. I am someone who works with technology, imagine what the general public feels.

These types of pages are not for the search engines but rather for paid forms of traffic. I wouldn't fret too much about it to be honest. Advertorials are for suckers, it's no different than putting a full page ad in the newspaper and making it look like an "real" article, I've heard they are pretty profitable as well.
