Just a little moan from me

I recently took out insurance with Swinton and was very impressed with the fact they rang shortly ofter to introduce the local branch and see that all ways good with my policy etc.

So far so good - but since then all manner of branches phone me trying to sell me bolt on's and the worst thing is that it's like going back years to the 80's with the patter.

"hello mate how are you today, that's good bruv" - common please

Note to Swinton Boss channel 4 undercover boss

Ha ha

As an Ex Swinton employee from years ago, I was fortunate to have left before the 'big hard sale' was brought in.

I worked in a local shop in a quiet town and I knew every one of my clients and even knew what car they drove or when they were due for renewal but then 7 years ago everything changed.

All corporate/business clients were dealt with centrally in Manchester, there was a big push on Home care protection for your boiler dealt with in Halifax, then there was accidental death cover in a branch again down south and so many customers would come into the branch and ask to speak to the person that called them regarding their policy... we would look at each other and say was it from a call centre!!

It doesnt instill confidence in your broker/agent or where is your information going?
