Hydraulic - (epic) failure - help is needed please.

I need a little advice. I am working on a new art piece and it calls for a hydraulic system. BUT, seeing that I have no mechanical background, or engineering background to speak of, I am stuck. I have looked through all manner of catalog and still cannot find what I need.

It's for a mechanical animal ( I can't say more because its a concept I'm working on and for now its all hush hush .) but the hydraulics will be linked to the animal from its stomach area, before the wiring and pipes lead to the rest of the body. It needs to be pretty rectangular as well.

Does anyone know where I might be able to start looking? I would really appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Dreamraven

I may have found a way around it that does not involve hydraulics at all. I just hope it all works out now. lol. thank you

Obviously have a serious lack of mechanical engineers on board!

Glad you cracked it

I am going to use something called a valve bank instead. I am clueless about what it does, but it fits, I can run pipes from it, and its wont be too hard to run through in photoshop.
