It seems that Camden council is looking into moving those on benefits around different parts of the country, as they can no longer afford to house them at affordable rent. The thing is, if these people cannot find work down here there is little hope that they will find it up north either.

looks like an opt out and shirking their responsibilities also saying to everyone if you are poor dont come here bad policy

Reality is that probably 60% these Camden "refugees" have local jobs (they're entitled to Housing Benefit because their wages are too low to live on). Obviously the ConDems think the UK's unemployment rate isn't high enough yet.

From today's Independent ...

Leeds tenants (Hands Off Our Homes) are organising a fight back against the bedroom tax. One of the group is a retired lawyer.

There are legal challenges led by the Public Interest Lawyers against 5 London District Councils; I can't remember whether the action's against the Councils extending Council Tax liablity to everyone previously accepted as too poor to pay or against the bedroom tax.
