I think you are seeing the birth of internet 2. In the same way we laugh at 1990's websites and spinning email icon graphics, I think we will smirk and smile at the size and impracticalness of these glasses, compared to the wafer thin or even implants will have 10 years later.
I remember seeing a volvo estate being tested a few years ago with a head up display on the windscreen, basically the same technology used if fighter aircraft. Instead of looking down at our vehicle instruments, sat nav, it would be projected in front of us on the windscreen.
But it didn't seem to take off, ('scuse the pun). I guess it was cost.
But this has potential there as well. Blue tooth your car, and you can see the speedo, satnav, stereo, all voice activated and while being able to look ahead. Whether you can concentrate will be a different matter
