I think it will be largely depend on the purpose and if you want to play the long run. For example, if you have a local cafe and simply want to litter the neighbourhood with spam about you opening it, your leaflets may very quickly go to the bin.

However, if you show that you really are committed to what you do, and go to your neighbours, briefly chat to them and then invite them for a free coffee with this leaflet, so that you can learn something about them and you show that you really care about them and want to go the extra mile to deliver more than outstanding service for them - this may change your outcome quite a lot.

The bottom line is - it depends on your innovation, purpose and the way you deliver it.

Hello Paulo

I've moved you over to general marketing forum, but a little confused by your question?

How door to door leaflet distribution can help grow a business in percentage?”

As you run a leaflet distribution company, shouldn't we be asking you this???

Thanks,

It's actually a great question Paulo, and could be a good sales generator if you canvassed your clients and published your findings on your home page. eg "on average leaflet distribution increased leads by xyz%"

Do you have any feedback from clients how effective it is?

I know we have some other traditional marketing forum members who have previously stated the importance of leaflets as part of the marketing mix.

Must admit any leaflet in my door tends to get binned - not a fan of any "junk" mail or extra leaflets.

I'm very much of the mindset that if i'm looking for a product or service i will go and find it - i don't know how stereotypical or not i am though.

I did read somewhere how the first couple of seconds of someone picking up a leaflet off their door mat is crucial. So very important to make your leaflet stand out.  Something to catch someone's  eye.

Leaflets can be very effective depending on the service you offer and the time of the year and targeting the right neighbourhoods, e.g. window cleaning - the patch would be relatively small but you know the areas that are more affluent and so would pay for this service. You also know who in the street currently doesn't use your services, so can be targeted. Word of mouth counts for a lot but if your leaflet dropped on the doorstep at the right time e.g. start of spring when windows look at their worst or the end of the summer when they are at their worst too.

I've had garden fencing leaflets come through the door which I've kept as mine needs sorting out, but in the Spring.
