Just returned from a quick visit to New Zealand and boy was it a long way to go for just 6 days ..It ended up being 5 due to plane being delayed by 12 hours which none of us were happy about. We went to Christchurch and it was the most amazing place ever ,it felt like we had gone back in time by about 20 years.. Although sadly most of the town was destroyed by the earthquake a few years ago and is still in ruins with building works going on all the time + if you say the news or if they showed it here there was a massive fire which was out of control on the hillside ,lucky enough it was very far away so did effect us at all...Also went to Auckland for a night to see my cousin and they took us up the sky tower which was absolutely fantastic ..Also stood on 1 of the glass floors which was absolutely freaky as it felt like you were stepping off in to the abyss lol.Returned Sunday evening and my poor body clock is so out of wack as it had no time to adjust as we were on the go 24/7.

If any of you want a good holiday it is definitely a place to go , we are already thinking of going back for another longer visit as there is so much to do and see there

Is that where you are originally from then? Have always been under the impression that it is cold, wet and miserable like the UK, probably wrong impression... Nice lamb though

Blimey, that's a long trip for 5 days!

Not managed to get there yet, got as far as Oz. Will no doubt have to wait until the kids have been evicted or are at borstal/uni before we get the chance

Yeah it was a long way , but can recommend it , had a absolute ball and there wasn't any time for jet lag ..On getting home I was completely shattered and slept for 2 days and took about a week to get back to normal ... I definitely want to go back again
