I tend to invest in shares for the longterm 5yrs plus, if I went into spread betting I feel I would end up chasing my loses, end up spending more time glued to the internet and getting little else done. Spread betting is really for gamblers who do little else but gamble and the only winner is the bookmaker...

Thanks,
Barney

Mind you looking at the way Lloyds is screaming south, starting to feel like a gambler myself! Current price 25.3

Buy in, or let it keep going?

On taking Steve's advice I put my life savings into RBS Bought thousands for around 20p waited till May like he said for the 50p price....Nothing
Come June thought I check my iphone's share app.....RBS share price

Thanks,
Barney

On taking Steve's advice I put my life savings into RBS ...only to find an email saying that my RBS shares had been re-valuated and 90% of the shares had vanished

See I told you, there's some dodgy dealing going on with that RBS crowd!

Bailed out of RBS, especially now they are voting to mess about with the shares to try and fudge the price to

I see that RBS share price has finally broke the £4.00 price barrier on Friday it's been a bit of a roller coaster ride, I guess it won't be too long before the great sell off....

Ahh £4, now if I the missus had let me remortgage the house when the shares were 30p I'd now be sitting in the Bahamas getting fat and burnt.

Instead I'll just have to make do with getting fat in Warwickshire and leaving share trading to people that know what they are doing

But at least the tax payer may actually get a return.
