Does anyone think this is an effective way to market your company?
I have been debating for a while weather to get my car wraped!
I think it's a very effective and relatively cheap form of advertising. But you do need to be mindful of exactly what your objectives are and who you want to reach. I would recommend it for small businesses with a local client base, and for large, national companies with hundreds of vehicles, looking at it as a branding exercise, rather than specific client acquisition. I see you're in SEO. I would guess that your clients come from across the country, therefore. It may not be the most effective way of reaching your target market, but if you do want to attract local business too - or if you drive a lot - then it may well be worthwhile. I certainly always recommend to my clients to do as many different marketing activities as possible; the mroe chances of seeing your message that a potential client has, then the more likely they are to want to sepak to you. Have a search for "Raccoon" and "car wrapping (sorry can't do links yet as I'm too much of a newbie!) They seem to offer a good service. Claire Marketing Consultant, Kerrmunications
Kev As you may remember we had a taxi liveried up at the launch of MLS all those years ago. You have to set parameters on what you expect the advert to do, have to be honest im not a great fan of this kind of advertising having now done it. Ok it may be perceived to be a cheap form of advertising but will you get return off it? If you want brand awareness will your car in all honesty be seen by that many people? If you want cold sales from it again the same question. Bottom line just say for example this costs Clive
funnily enough this is something that I have been looking into as well. A vehicle wrap for the minimal outlay ( Stavros
Before any of you make the jump, I have a cracking little company that do this, so give me a shout, and they also do all the show stuff, banner stands etc.
I have just been considering it for the perfume company I run but not sure. Thanks, Kevin.Wiles
I love them, but then I am in the image game, anything that promotes your image or company is a good idea in my book.
I'm not sure it will have the same effect been heavily into Jap cars etc my car doesn't scream Business, Thanks, Kevin.Wiles
Well you are talking yourself out of it, so that answers the question!
“I have just been considering it for the perfume company I run but not sure.” You run a perfume company?????? As Clive says, we did this ourselves with a local blackcab. Outlay was expensive, and as already said, it is purely a brand building exercise. We naively thought it would generate a flurry of sales. The good news though, the wrapping company tried to resell us the following year. We said no thanks, and although I haven't seen it for a few months, we got over 3 years out of it ![]() |
