Sometimes it's good to read junk mail, had a letter on my desk for over a week, was just going to throw it away but decided to open it anyway...
It starts of with, thank you for using 'collect +' as a delivery option for the first time, please log into your account and visit 'where's my order section'
You are receiving this letter as a security measure, if you were not expecting this letter telephone us.
So I telephone them and it would appear that someone has used my house and my name to get credit via the internet without my knowledge.... Well it's all been stopped now thanks to CIFAS It's a funny old world...

Thanks,
Barney

cheeky gits!

Found my mugshot the other day on some ropey website, apparently I was someone else, unless I have a doppelganger who also only clothes shops once every 5 years...

God bless the internet

Sorting out whom to trust when they've made the first contact (by email, 'phone or mail) is sometimes extraordinarily difficult, I feel. The obvious scams aren't the problem - what about the others?

When I'm not sure, I go onto Google, look up the possibly dodgy organisation, 'phone number or project and see what's said about it. It sometimes helps ...
